You an wave bye-bye to the Google ads that normally appear above the froum. They've gone. And so long as I remember to apply ad-free credits each month they won't be coming back ;D

The only place that any ads will now be shown is on the main page (in the info table). Although these are much smaller ads that will (hopefully) blend in with the forum a little bit more. Oh, and in case you're wondering, the money they generate (if any) will go towards the cost of hosting the images/codes

I don't mind anyway, you can download a ad blocker for firefox ;D But using it to block google ads is a violation of the Google TOS and thus a violation of the TOS for whatever site you're viewing

If they remove it cos of that, I'll remove it Well I'm not 100% familiar with the Google Adsense TOS (too long for me to read in detail ) so I'm not 100% certain if they allow ad blockers or not but I know that 3rd party software used to block google ads is forbidden by many companies that rely on income from these ads (companies like ProBoards)

Just to be realistic though, what are they going to do about it? You can't terminate a viewers service or anything like that. I admit it's not nice but in reality, I don't see how they can stop you.

People who have admitted to using ad-blockers on ProBoard forums have been banned before. Although there is very little that can be done to prevent people using ad-blockers on other forums as there's no way to really prove it. Anyway, who sent this off-topic?
