When was the first time you heard about Proboards and when did you first make your own forum? (If you have one.) I first heard about Proboards two years ago and during that time I wanted to make my own forum. I had made previous forums on InvisionFree but they weren't as good as Proboards. So I stuck with Proboards and made my first forum. I had no clue what global headers and all that code stuff was so my forum was pretty crappy/boring. But after hours of fiddling with everything I got the hang of it. And in total I've made six forums. I really can't believe it myself... Anyways, 4 of them in which I have deleted, kept one as a test board, and my current one.

Well, basically when I went looking for a free forum. I checked into Bravenet and Proboards, but Bravenet had virtually no customization, so Proboards won. I didn't know all that other stuff either. I still know nothing about codes except for some customization editing, and now I understand where to put them. I'll have to look into how long I had this forum as I was sick with cancer soon after I set it up.

same here too, now i'm practically a whiz at it! ;D ...... Yeah well anyway. I joined one as part of an online game and followed that ''This Board Hosted For FREE By ProBoards" link at the bottom of the page. Since then I made one with a friend, then since we wanted to improve it I went to the Support board and have been there ever since

2 years ago....I was looking to start a community board for my sports leagues and stumbled upon PB's....I found that they had great support, some interesting people all around and the experience with them has been pleasant ever since.
PBs forever! ;D

About 6 months ago, I also was looking for a free forum service. when I searched google, I found many, and at that time, I knew almost nothing about forums. I tried phpBB, invisionfree, and a few other smaller ones which most of you probably never heard of. Once I found PB, i was relieved, because all of the other ones were way too hard to figure out. That was the same time I had made a proboards forum.

I heard about proboard whilst i was a member of RPGPlayersrealm....I was madfe an admin of someones new site and saw the link at the bottom of the page.I created my site on april 30th 2004. So my sites quite old now....
My site didn't look any good until I got a template. After looking at a template I decided to try one for myself. And after much editing I finally got something that looked ok.
So back to the question at hand. I first encountered proboards in april 2004.

Well according to my profile it was made in 1969 But I think the actual date was sometime in July this year I always thought that was funny. Being a coder has it's advantages, even a humerous one.

I was at a major Harry Potter forum, discussing a favorite actor, Alan Rickman, when a couple gals started up a proboards forum dedicated to himself, and I joined. Around the end of00 September, I cliked on the "Get your own free message board" I made my own, and have been tinkering away at it, slowly. ;D
