Glasses or Contacts?

Does anyone here wear contacts? I'm thinking about trying them. I have had glasses since 4th grade (wow, only about 3 years ago. seems longer...). At that time, I really wanted glasses because I wanted to know how it felt to wear them (my own) and another reason; both my best friends had them. I was so excited when I found out that I needed them. Now, I hate them. I hate how I look in them. (and of course, my two best friends now have contacts)

So anyway, in your opinion, do they hurt to take them in and out? What does the doctor have to do to figure out the kind that you need and does it hurt? Which do you like better -glasses or contacts and why?

I wear glasses but my son (age 23) wears contacts and he luvs them. He wears the disposable ones.
