Is it real? I saw several forums warning that a hacker is lurking.  Good grief why can't they find something better to do with their talent? eeeeewwwww, what IF??? someday our one and only floating head went over to the dark side? Naaa, never happen.... floating head guy needs a white hat! He's one of the good guys.  |

it's usually only happening to the quite newbish forums....people with 3 letter passwords or it being there name or something silly like that...

Passwords have to be 6 letters now. Unless, maybe there was a time when it was less than that, and the persons never changed their password.

I was just making up a low numer but yeah, the 6 letter limit is there to help....however that doesn't mean you should have a 6 letter password....it's also ebtter to have a seperate password for your forum to what you regularly use.

You're not going to believe how stupid some people are when choosing their password. At one point, something like 20% of harry potter forums had 'Potter' as either the admins password or a staff members password  That reminds me, I need to do my quarterly password change. ross.2plans.com?page=pass |

Yes and be sure that your password isn't something you're obsessed with (I once put in "thebeatles" as a password and got a yahoo account cracked!) |
