This will enable you to make parts of or the entire forum Transparent. Remove any class Names you do not want to effect:

Can you give an example of how to use this feature? Or rather how it would be put to use - what would need to be transparent ?

Well say you had you catbg as a head image and the image was transparent. If you had a background that was like the one on here then it would have a colour over the top that would make it look ugly. If the catbg was transparent then this wouldnt happen. I hope this answers your question.
