Well everyone has a story on something. This is how I got to get into Coding: I had a friend who coded JavaScript on his website and he also made special programs like his very own version of Tetris ( It's a fun game to play you know.) and I got fasninated by his skills. I wanted to follow in his steps so I decided that I wanted to learn coding. I'm still studying HTML at the moment. I am also learning XHTML as well. So what are your stories of coding?

Hmm, well my dad was a programmer for a long time before he started selling computers. So I started to become interested in coding. First it was HTML, then Javascript, then Visual Basic, Now PHP. Ive been coding for about 2 years now. So I guess my father and just looking at code has sparked my interest. It amazed me on how much some text can affect a lot of a webpage. And now I see that I can do much more than that.

My Interest in Coding stemmed from When Proboards Switched from PBV3 to it's current V4. Quite a few of the codes I was using from variou people went busted. I began to look up Javascript, it's Syntaxes and other various things like that and tried to fix all the ones I could (Looking back, they were simple changes. The easiest being changing all links ending in "IM" to "pm" ) But from that I tried writing my own things, and with the little toppups I got from school (Though I was always correcting the tutor, since she knew nothing on Web languages....even HTML) I grew better and so on

It was so long ago, I can barely remember But I think it started when I set up a forum with a friend and wanted to add some cool effects to it. So I went to ProBoards support (where I used to help people myself in the support board) and asked how I could have background image change depending on the time. I think it was Ben and ASE who replied with a link to the code and an explanation on how to edit it. From there I started adding other codes and trying to learn how to edit them myself to suit my own needs, I'm not one to ask for help. This continued for a month or two until proboards v4 was released and people were asking everywhere for codes to be updated or new codes to be written. I remember California was a big figure around this time and seemed to be one of the few people trying to fill all these requests. And me being me wanted to help and so as well as answering some of the simple questions (fixing PM bar codes, linking people to existing codes) I decided to try and write my first proboards code, a code to move the Sub-Boards to the footer of the page. It took me ages to do and I had to get a fair bit of help from California but I got it working in the end and the rest as they say is history.

My story of coding is, My mate kept showing me templates he had made for proboards. I was thinking theyr awesome I wish I could do that. I started my own forum and started to make things on photoshop but I didnt know how to put them on. Id already been on SSD before just to have a look and I started to look on support. I found some of ross's codes useful and saw a link to here in one of them. I lost the url and was upset because I liked this forum. I then searched on google and found the same link. I had looked at some of the codes and picked up useful things like document.getElementsByTagName so I decided to have a go at a code which would remove the unnecessary components from the info center and add a subtitle to the forum name, I had just used open source codes to do this but I started to add new things like head/base images and a real time clock and I was just facinated by what I could do so I got more into it and started lookking on pixel depth.
Haha ive rambled for too long now.
