Hey everybody, Halloween's in a few days!! Who's going 'Trick or Treating'! I'm not, don't have anyone to go with, plus no costume. And that's brings me to my next little point. Who's going to be wearing a costume? For me, it really depends if I go trick or treating, if I don't, no costume. If I do, I'll wear a costume. Anyways, if anyone has any stories about past Halloweens or what they're going to wear this year, post it.

Well, I'm too old for 'Trick or Treating', but I would if I could, lol. I still like to dress up so-to-speak with a cat ears, tail, & makeup. My cats even have Halloween costumes & dress up too, lol! ;D

Lol, I don't think anyone's gonna want to push me around in a wheelchair to go trick or treating. It is a funny thought though. Yeah, I have one cat Blue who likes to wear the same witches hat & cape every year for Halloween. My other cats usually switch costumes, but they hate hats though. They have a clown, angel, spiderman, reindeer, muscle-T, and I'm forgetting some, lol.

I personally detest haloween. It's a pathetic way to celebrate the month of all souls. It's pretty darn blasphemus if you think about it. (I'm not siding with religions here)
I also dislike the idea of just going around to any strangers home and ask for sweets/candy or money from people it's obscene and why should I pay for food that someone else is gonna eat? It's just made up for companies to make money...stupidest holiday in the year...*mumbles away in a bad mood*

Halloween is a pointless holiday, wait...it's not really a holiday either way. And with the people and buying candy just for other people is another good point you've brought up, I've never really thought about it that way before. Anyways, I am officially not going 'Trick or Treating' this year unless someone asks me in the next 2 hours that is.

Ok, I'm not gonna delve into the origins and background of All Hollow's Eve right here (other than - no offence - it's hardly blasphemous). Anyway, I didn't do anything this year.... but I thought I'd mention the first Halloween I remember - I was 4 or 5, and went with my mom - I was Little Red Riding Hood, and ma was the Big Bad Wolf, lol. It was so much fun going to the neighbors and getting candy and cookies, and I remember one neighbor who always made the best popcorn balls. Ah, the good old days. We don't have even that level of trust for our neighbors any more. Not as many people are worthy of such trust, I suppose.
As to complaining about giving free candy to kids one night a year....Hi, Mr. Scrooge. *Kidding*, wrong holiday anyway. ;D

I agree, Halloween isn't what it used to be. When I was a kid, I would go trick or treating for hours till late at night, and I would get bags of candy. Now, at least here anyway, trick or treat is between 4 & 6pm. As far as I'm concerned, I always thought of it as a fun day for kids. I don't think it's a big deal to buy candy once a year for the kids. It really is too bad that we can't have those good old fashioned Halloweens anymore. It's through the evil of man, that is ruining it for the kids. Twenty years from now, trick or treating probably won't even exist.

Yay, and I hope it never comes back As you can probably tell, I have had some pretty bad experiences in haloween. Still, I still gives out sweets and what not. Just I dislike the whole motives behind holween. It just flares me up so much. But I've already had an evil rant once in this thread. It wouldn't be nice to do it again...=P
